Tamaadon and True East Sign Agreement to Implement Gold Exploration Programme in Saudi Arabia

In a move reflecting the growing momentum to advance exploration licences into active field

In a move reflecting the growing momentum to advance exploration licences into active field programmes, Tama’adon Mining Company has signed a strategic agreement with True East Mining Company to implement an integrated and accelerated exploration programme targeting gold and associated minerals across two exploration licences owned by Tama’adon in Saudi Arabia.

According to details reviewed by Mining Saudi Arabia, the collaboration aims to accelerate the geological evaluation of the two licence areas. The programme will begin with a review of existing geological data and previous studies, followed by geological and geophysical exploration activities to identify priority targets.

Based on the findings of these stages, the programme will proceed to drilling, sampling and laboratory analysis to assess the identified mineral indicators in greater detail.

International Technical Supervision

The project will be technically supervised by French geologist Rémi Bosc, CEO of Arethuse Geology, who has more than 30 years of international experience in mineral exploration across the Middle East and Africa, including work related to the Arabian and Nubian shields.

The two companies stated that the programme would be implemented using internationally recognised technical methodologies, with relevant exploration results documented and reported in line with applicable JORC Code requirements.

The JORC Code establishes minimum standards of transparency, materiality and competence for the public reporting of exploration results, mineral resources and ore reserves. However, alignment with the Code does not in itself confirm the discovery of a mineral resource or its economic viability, which will depend on field results, laboratory analysis and subsequent evaluation stages.

What the Agreement Means for Saudi Exploration

The agreement represents a model of collaboration between national exploration licence holders and specialised technical service providers. Such partnerships can help move licences from preliminary studies to the collection of field data required to support informed technical and investment decisions.

The development also follows Tama’adon’s participation in the Nuthree Mining Exploration Incubator, an initiative designed to strengthen the technical capabilities of emerging national companies and support their transition from qualification to the implementation of active exploration programmes.

The project remains at an early exploration stage. The companies have not yet disclosed the locations of the two licences, the programme’s budget or the proposed drilling schedule. No exploration results or mineral resource estimates have been announced.

The agreement was signed by Dr Adil M. Hashim, President and CEO of Tama’adon Mining Company, and Bader Alsharif on behalf of True East Mining Company.

Mining Saudi Arabia will continue to follow the programme’s progress and future field results as part of its ongoing coverage of gold and mineral exploration activity across the Kingdom.
